On Saturday a few of us attended the Women's March in Indianapolis. It was an incredibly positive experience. We were thrilled with the huge turnout and the speakers were energized and passionate. I (Jenn) personally felt they did a great job bringing up the issues of many different groups of people, including African American, LGBTQ, Muslim, Latinx, Immigrant, those with disabilities, those with food insecurities, non-religious, etc. But the big question many speakers rightfully called us out on what do we do when a march like that is over. For me this project is one thing I want to do to help give a voice to anyone feeling marginalized.
